Renesons Energy Joins Global Movement for Cleaner Shores on International Coastal Cleanup Day
In celebration of the 40th International Coastal Cleanup Day, with the theme “Turning the tide on ocean trash and #SeatheChange”, Renesons Energy Polillo, Inc. (REP) joined millions of volunteers worldwide in safeguarding our oceans and waterways. On September 20, 2025, REP led a cleanup activity along the shores of Sitio Bigyan, Brgy. Sibulan, Polillo, Quezon, supported by MASE Builders Inc. (MBI), the engineering and construction arm of the MASE Group, together with Agrekko and Safari Security.
The day began with a short program at the REP plant site, where volunteers were oriented on safety, sustainability, and the importance of collective action. From there, participants made their way to the 0.5-kilometer shoreline in Sitio Bigyan, setting up a central station to coordinate the cleanup.
Working in five teams, volunteers covered different sections of the coast, gathering nearly 200 kilograms of marine waste, the equivalent of removing over 4,000 plastic bottles from the ocean. Each item collected was segregated, documented, and disposed of responsibly, ensuring both immediate cleanup and long-term waste management.
The activity highlighted the growing challenge of marine pollution in coastal communities while showcasing the power of collaboration in creating solutions. Beyond collecting trash, the cleanup reinforced REP’s role as a responsible partner in building cleaner, more sustainable communities.
Through this initiative, REP together with MBI, Agrekko, and Safari Security reaffirmed their shared commitment to sustainability, community engagement, and global environmental action. As REP continues to expand its energy projects, the company remains equally committed to protecting the natural resources that sustain its communities.
