Transit Mixer Driver

Summary

A Transit Mixer Driver is responsible for safely operating a concrete mixer truck to deliver ready-mix concrete to construction sites. This role involves driving, operating the mixer, and ensuring the timely and quality delivery of concrete. Candidates must have a TESDA NC II certification, a valid professional driver’s license (usually Restriction Code 8), and be willing to relocate based on project assignments.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and drive the transit mixer truck to transport ready-mix concrete from batching plants to job sites.

• Ensure proper mixing and slump of concrete during transit and prior to unloading.

• Maneuver the mixer truck into position for unloading at the construction site, sometimes in challenging conditions.

• Clean the mixer drum and exterior of the vehicle after each delivery to prevent buildup and maintain hygiene.

• Monitor vehicle condition and report any mechanical issues or safety concerns.

• Comply with all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.

• Assist with loading materials or batching when required by the plant or project.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.

• TESDA NC II in Driving (or Heavy Equipment Operation for Mixer).

• Valid professional driver’s license (usually Restriction Code 8 or equivalent).

• At least 1 year of experience operating a transit mixer or similar heavy vehicle.

• Good knowledge of vehicle maintenance, concrete handling, and delivery protocols.

• Willing to relocate to different project or plant locations as needed.
