Project Engineer
JOB SUMMARY:
The Project Engineer oversees technical aspects of energy projects, ensuring timely, budget-compliant delivery in line with legal and regulatory standards. The role involves close collaboration with teams, contractors, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality energy solutions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Project Management:
- Support project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
- Monitor risks and budgets to minimize impact on timelines and costs.
- Maintain project documentation and prepare progress reports.
- Coordinate communication among teams, contractors, and stakeholders.
Legal & Compliance:
- Ensure project adherence to all relevant laws, permits, and regulations.
- Assist with compliance audits and resolve regulatory issues promptly.
- Manage and update legal and permit documentation.
Commercial Management:
- Engage with government agencies, LGUs, host communities, and contractors.
- Support contract negotiations and ensure compliance with terms.
- Assist in securing required permits and approvals.
Technology & Design:
- Collaborate with engineering teams on design and technical specifications.
- Evaluate and integrate appropriate technologies.
- Monitor system performance and recommend improvements.
Procurement & Contracting:
- Support procurement processes aligned with project needs and budgets.
- Assist in contract negotiation and administration.
- Monitor supplier performance and compliance.
Construction Management:
- Coordinate construction activities to meet schedule, scope, and quality standards.
- Monitor progress, resolve issues, and conduct safety inspections.
- Ensure timely completion and quality assurance.
Regulatory & Stakeholder Management:
- Manage relationships with LGUs, regulatory bodies, and communities.
- Facilitate stakeholder meetings and communications.
- Document stakeholder interactions and report status regularly.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, or related). Master’s or certifications in Project Management/Energy Engineering preferred.
- 3-5 years in engineering/project coordination in the energy sector, ideally renewables.
- Knowledge of Philippine energy regulations and renewable technologies is a plus.
- Proficient in MS Office and project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
- PMP certification or Professional Engineer license is advantageous.
SOFT SKILLS:
Strong teamwork, stakeholder management, adaptability, problem-solving, communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Willingness to work under pressure and travel regularly for site visits.
