Project Engineer
Job description
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Serves as the focal point for coordinating, tracking, and reporting the status of project implementation.
- Outlines the project budget based on requirements and tracks costs to deliver the project within estimated limits.
- Prepares a detailed project plan to schedule key milestones, workstreams, and activities.
- Manages the delivery of the project according to the approved implementation plan.
- Tracks project progress and provides regular status reports to the project team and key stakeholders.
- Prepares plans and permit application requirements in compliance with codes, standards, and regulations.
- Coordinates and sets up project meetings; interfaces with technical and resource personnel to create and edit documentation.
- Maintains project team accomplishments by communicating information in team meetings and reports, escalating any impediments to project completion.
- Manages and adjusts for any changes in project scope, schedule, and/or budget.
- Manages relationships and communication with the client and all stakeholders, ensuring the project is delivered to their satisfaction.
- Performs all other tasks and mandated functions assigned by his/her superior from time to time.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with 3 to 5 years of experience in construction, power, or related industries.
- Proficient in design software such as AutoCAD and SketchUp, as well as Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, testing procedures, engineering drawings, specifications, and relevant industry standards and regulations.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate and lead engineering support activities, manage multiple projects, and balance schedules and priorities to meet strict deadlines.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to relate effectively to technical, management, and support personnel.
- Able to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment, maintaining attention to detail and delivering results under pressure with minimal supervision.
- Willingness to travel for field assignments, including remote or rural areas, and to work flexible hours or shift schedules as required.
- Strong initiative, adaptability, and commitment to extending work hours when necessary to achieve project goals.
- Holds a Professional License as a Registered Civil Engineer.
