Job description

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

1. Project Management

  • Plan, execute, and monitor energy development projects to ensure timely, on-budget, and high-quality delivery.
  • Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets; track progress and milestones.
  • Identify and mitigate risks; monitor budgets and expenditures.
  • Maintain project documentation and prepare regular progress reports.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective communication and project alignment.

2. Legal & Compliance Management

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and contractual obligations.
  • Liaise with legal teams to manage contracts, permits, and licenses.
  • Monitor compliance, conduct audits, and resolve legal or regulatory issues.
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date legal documentation and support compliance activities.

3. Commercial Management

  • Engage and coordinate with stakeholders such as government agencies, communities, and partners.
  • Assist in obtaining permits and regulatory approvals on schedule.
  • Facilitate contract negotiations and manage supplier/partner relationships.
  • Ensure contracts are compliant and executed on time.

4. Technology Solution, Planning, and Design

  • Collaborate with engineering teams to develop and support technical solutions and system designs.
  • Assist in evaluating and integrating technologies to enhance project efficiency and sustainability.
  • Monitor technology performance and recommend improvements.

5. Procurement & Contracting

  • Support procurement of materials, equipment, and services to meet project needs and budgets.
  • Assist with contract negotiations and monitor supplier performance for compliance.
  • Help prepare procurement plans and evaluate bids for cost-effective, quality procurement.

6. Construction Management

  • Coordinate construction activities with contractors and engineers for smooth project execution.
  • Monitor construction progress, resolve issues promptly, and ensure alignment with plans.
  • Conduct site inspections for safety and quality compliance.
  • Ensure on-time, high-quality completion of construction phases.

LIST OF QUALIFICATIONS / PREFERENCES:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
  • At least 2–3 years of experience in project coordination, preferably in construction and engineering management within the energy sector or infrastructure projects.
  • Familiarity with the Philippine energy market and related industry regulations, compliance requirements, and stakeholder management.
  • Familiarity with renewable energy technologies (solar, wind, hydro, etc.) is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software (e.g., Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, MS Project, Primavera, etc.).

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Location: The Project Coordinator will work primarily in an office setting but will also be required to visit project sites for on-the-ground coordination and oversight.
