Logistics & Transportation Manager

JOB SUMMARY:
The Logistics & Transportation Manager has overall operational responsibility over the Transportation and Logistics arm of the Group as a business unit. The department provides efficient and timely logistics and transportation services to the Group such as land transportation service for passengers, courier service, coordination and facilitation of the safe, timely, and successful transportation and delivery of high-value cargo, goods, equipment, tools, and materials from the mainland to the islands and vice versa.

 

JOB DESCRIPTION:

1. Courier Services – Ensures that the timely and safe delivery service of parcels from one place to another.

2. Transportation Services – Oversees the day-to-day operations and deliverables of the Department to ensure the timely and effective movement of all types of goods, people, and resources, under the care and accountability of the Department, with utmost professionalism and with the highest level of satisfaction of its clients and Top Management.

3. Fleet Management 

  • Responsible for overseeing every aspect of fleet operations.
  • Oversee fleet vehicles and drivers, ensure driver safety, optimize fleet costs and efficiency, manage fuel programs, and manage regulatory compliance.

4. Fuel Supply & Delivery Services – Responsible for maintaining the efficient flow of Fuel Supply to its clients and the management of various types of Transport Services, with the optimum use of viable operating systems, equipment, and staff services.

5. Program, Policy & Process Review and Operations Planning

  • Development & Implementation of Annual Operating Plans and Budget of the department.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize transportation utilization and meet client demands across all types of vehicle

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or other Logistics related degree preferred
  • At least 5 years of experience related to Customs Brokerage, Supply Chain Management, Traffic Management, Logistics, Shipping and Forwarding
  • Team-Oriented Manager with the ability to create a collaborative working environment for all stakeholders.
  • Knowledge in advanced warehousing, Inventory Management, and Supply-Chain Management.
  • Ability to develop standards, SOPS and policies
  • Good interpersonal skills with strong knowledge of the market and the latest government rulings
  • Proven ability to work effectively with numbers, data, detail, processes.
  • Possesses Excellent communication skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving capability.
  • Excellent computer skills and knowledgeable in various softwares/applications like google workspace, and other related applications.
  • Willing to work onsite. Office is located at Bonifacio Global City, Taguig City.
