Senior Investment Manager

JOB SUMMARY:

The position leads the end-to-end lifecycle of projects, from investment origination and financial structuring to capital raising and development execution.
This role sits at the intersection of investments, project development, and strategic partnerships, ensuring that projects are not only financially viable but also successfully delivered from concept to operations.

This role is required to function as both a strategic capital lead and an execution-focused business development driver, specifically as:

• A capital strategist responsible for securing and structuring investments; and
• A business development driver responsible for ensuring projects progress toward financial close and execution.

Core Mandate

• Drive the successful transformation of projects into bankable, fundable, and executable investments by:
• Structuring compelling investment opportunities
• Securing capital (equity, debt, grants, blended finance)
• Leading project development from feasibility to financial close
• Ensuring strong financial and commercial discipline

KEY REPONSIBILITIES:

1. Investment Analysis & Structuring – Lead financial modeling, feasibility studies, and data-driven investment analysis to assess project viability, structure optimal financing, and ensure strong risk-return outcomes.
2. Capital Raising & Investor Engagement – Drive fundraising initiatives, develop investor materials, and manage relationships with investors, lenders, and funding institutions to secure capital and support deal execution.
3. Partnerships & Deal Structuring – Support the structuring of joint ventures and strategic partnerships, including deal negotiation and stakeholder alignment across public and private sectors.
4. Financial Monitoring & Performance – Monitor project financial performance, cash flows, and funding utilization to ensure compliance with investor requirements and support financial decision-making.
5. Research, Reporting & Decision Support – Conduct market and project research, and provide data-driven insights, reports, and recommendations to guide management and board-level decisions.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or related field
• Preferably with strong academic foundation in financial management, accounting principles, and business analysis
• 5+ years of experience in investment banking, project finance, or private equity
• Strong background in medium-to-large-scale development projects
• Proven track record in capital raising and successful deal execution
• Demonstrated experience in driving business development and commercial growth opportunities
• Strong expertise in financial modeling, valuation, capital structuring, and risk analysis, with familiarity in regulatory environments such as energy and infrastructure frameworks.
• Strong capability in negotiation and stakeholder management, with the ability to translate technical analysis into clear investment narratives and a high-ownership mindset focused on execution.
• Willing to work onsite and undertake local and international business travel as required by the role.
