Finance Analyst

JOB SUMMARY:

The Finance Analyst supports the Investment & Development team in financial modeling, investment analysis, fundraising, investor relations, and strategic business development initiatives. The role is responsible for developing financial models, evaluating investment opportunities, preparing investor materials, supporting due diligence activities, and maintaining investment documentation. 

Key Result Areas (KRAs)

Financial Modeling & Investment Analysis

• Build and maintain project-level financial models, including DCF, IRR, DSCR, and sensitivity analyses.
• Develop and update HoldCo valuation and capital structure models (SOTP, dilution, SAFE scenarios).
• Model financing instruments such as SAFEs, convertible notes, project debt, revenue-based financing, and minority equity investments.
• Conduct stress testing and downside scenario analysis.
• Update financial models as projects progress from development to financing and execution.
• Support financial feasibility studies and investment evaluations.

Investor Relations & Fundraising Support

• Prepare investor presentations, teasers, investment memoranda, and fundraising materials.
• Customize presentations for impact investors, family offices, banks, and strategic partners.
• Prepare briefing notes for investor meetings.
• Document meeting minutes and monitor follow-up actions.
• Maintain investor pipeline databases and fundraising trackers.

Business Development & Strategic Analysis

• Assist in evaluating new investment opportunities, partnerships, and M&A transactions.
• Perform preliminary commercial assessments and investment screening.
• Conduct market research and financial analysis.
• Prepare internal investment memoranda and executive summaries.
• Coordinate due diligence requests with internal teams.

Data Room & Documentation Management

• Build, organize, and maintain virtual data rooms.
• Ensure financial models, contracts, permits, legal documents, and corporate records are complete and up to date.
• Maintain investor-ready documentation for fundraising and due diligence.
• Monitor document version control and confidentiality.

Strategic Projects & Executive Support

• Assist in capital strategy analysis and portfolio performance monitoring.
• Prepare financial analyses for Board presentations and executive meetings.
• Support valuation sensitivity analyses and strategic planning initiatives.
• Coordinate with external advisors, consultants, and project stakeholders.
• Participate in special finance and investment projects as assigned.

Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
• CFA Level I or II is an advantage but not required.

Experience

• 2–5 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, infrastructure finance, project finance, corporate finance, or investor relations.
• Experience in energy, infrastructure, renewable energy, or real assets is highly preferred.
• Experience supporting fundraising, financial modeling, or investment analysis is an advantage.

Technical Skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel and financial modeling skills.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of DCF, IRR, NPV, DSCR, valuation methodologies, and capital structuring.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
• Familiarity with virtual data rooms and financial documentation management.
