Excavator Operator

Summary

An Excavator Operator is responsible for operating heavy equipment used in excavation, trenching, and material handling tasks at construction, mining, and infrastructure sites. The ideal candidate must have experience handling hydraulic excavators, possess a TESDA NC II certification, and be willing to relocate to project sites as required.


Key Responsibilities

  • Operate hydraulic excavators and related heavy equipment for digging, grading, trenching, and loading materials.

  • Perform daily safety checks and basic maintenance to ensure equipment is in good working condition.

  • Interpret project plans, site layouts, and excavation markings.

  • Coordinate with site engineers, foremen, and other equipment operators for efficient workflow.

  • Safely maneuver equipment in tight or hazardous areas.

  • Report equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to the supervisor.

  • Follow all company and government safety regulations, especially around underground utilities and when working in confined areas.

  • Assist with the mobilization/demobilization of equipment on job sites as needed.


Qualifications

  • High school graduate or equivalent.

  • TESDA NC II certification in Excavator Operation or Heavy Equipment Operation.

  • At least 1–2 years of experience in operating excavators in construction, mining, or similar fields.

  • Good understanding of excavation safety practices and hazard recognition.

  • Physically fit and able to work long hours in varied environmental conditions.

  • Willing to relocate to different project locations.
