Cost Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Monitor and ensure that the project expenses are within the approved budget and provide cost control recommendations.
• Create Summary reports of the actual expenses of the project vs. the approved budget.
• Track changes in design for budget adjustment.
• Perform risk management, identifying potential financial risk and providing mitigation strategies.
• Develop and implement cost tracking and reporting methodologies.
• Prepare cost reports and pricing studies as required.
• Perform cost analysis, estimating expected costs for the project.
• Validate cost data form various sources for consistency and accuracy.
• Analyze completed projects to compare estimated costs to actual costs and determine reason for any discrepancies.
• Assist in preparing in-house estimates / Bill of Materials.
• Prepare cost comparison for alternative design schemes to assess viability of options.
• Provide recommendation on cost quality
• Find ways to minimize cost of the project and enhance the value of money, while still achieving the required standard and quality.

QUALIFICATIONS:
– Professional License (Passed Board/Professional License Exam) in Civil   Engineering
– Preferably Female
– 2-3 years’ work experience in Engineering – Cost Management
– Proficient in computer skills, necessary computer programs and Microsoft Office
– Experience in preparing and following strict budgeting and estimating and financial/mathematical analysis skill
