Community Relations Specialist

Position Summary:

The Community Relations Specialist plays a vital role in fostering positive relationships between MASE Group of Companies and its surrounding community. This role involves building partnerships, coordinating events, managing communications, and developing initiatives that promote goodwill, community engagement, and organizational alignment with community needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Community Engagement:

  • Act as the primary liaison between MASE Group and community stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with community leaders, local organizations, and residents.
  • Attend community meetings, events, and activities to represent MASE Group and gather feedback.

Program Development and Implementation:

  • Develop and execute community outreach programs that align with organizational goals.
  • Plan, organize, and coordinate events, workshops, or initiatives to promote community collaboration.
  • Monitor and evaluate the impact of community engagement efforts and adjust strategies as needed.

Communications and Advocacy:

  • Prepare press releases, newsletters, and other communications to inform the community about MASE Group’s activities and initiatives.
  • Collaborate with marketing and PR teams to enhance visibility and awareness of community programs.
  • Actively advocate for community interests within the organization to influence decision-making.

Collaboration and Partnership:

  • Identify opportunities for partnerships with local businesses, non-profits, and government agencies.
  • Foster mutually beneficial relationships that support both community and organizational growth.

Administrative Duties:

  • Maintain detailed records of community interactions, projects, and events.
  • Create reports to present insights and recommendations to management.
  • Manage budgets and resources allocated for community programs.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Social Work, or a related field.
  • Experience: 3–5 years of experience in community relations, public relations, or a similar role.
  • Skills:
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written).
    • Ability to build trust and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
    • Event planning and project management expertise.
    • Knowledge of social media platforms and community engagement tools.
    • Problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with non-profits, government agencies, or community-based organizations.
  • Familiarity with local community needs and issues.
  • Willing to travel by land and by sea.
