Business Development Researcher/Specialist
JOB SUMMARY:
This role will primarily focus on research, data gathering, financial planning, community
engagement, and relationship development to support our business development initiatives.
This position requires strong analytical skills, a proactive mindset, and the ability to work
collaboratively with internal and external parties in the full spectrum of social and corporate
set-ups and gov’t. institutions. Additionally, travel and engage with rural developmental
communities across the Philippines.
1. Research and Data Gathering
– Conduct comprehensive market research to identify and study key industries and trends, competitive landscapes, potential business opportunities, and socio-cultural nuances.
– Collect and analyze data from various sources to support strategic and tactical decision-making.
– Prepare reports and presentations formalizing research findings for internal stakeholders.
2. Financial Planning
– Assist in the development of financial and forecasting models to evaluate potential
investments, partnerships, and business opportunities.
– Assist in evaluating the financial viability of new projects or partnerships by analyzing cost structures and revenue potential.
– Collaborate with the finance team and other relevant departments to ensure accuracy and consistency in financial projections.
– Assist in the analysis of historical data and forecast future performance based on market conditions and business strategies.
3. Community Engagement and Relationship Development
– Travel to rural developmental communities throughout the Philippines to conduct field research and gather insights on local needs and opportunities.
– Build relationships with community leaders and stakeholders to understand their challenges and how our initiatives can provide support.
– Engage with community members, industry leaders, and government institutions through workshops, meetings, and events to promote our business development initiative goals and foster collaboration.
– Develop and maintain strong relationships with
key stakeholders, ensuring open lines of
communication and mutual understanding.
4. Support Business Development Initiatives
– Assist in the preparation of proposals, presentations, and other materials for internal and external meetings.
– Coordinate with cross-functional teams to gather relevant information for business development projects and endeavors.
– Conscious awareness of business development efforts and provide insights for improvement.
QUALIFICATIONS:
● Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Statistics or a
related field.
● At least 2 years work experience in the Power, Mining, Real Estate, Banking or other
related industries.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
● 1-2 Yr. experience in research, data analysis, and/or financial planning (internships or
relevant coursework acceptable as an experience in any of the mentioned).
● Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint and other data base management and
presentation tools and software.
● Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
● With exposure to project management.
● Strong organizational skills and detail oriented.
● Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
● Proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and adapt in dynamic environment.
● Willingness to travel and engage rural communities across the Philippines.
● Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Filipino and English.
